How to make the perfect homemade Valentine gift basket
Step 1- the basket
Start with a Metal basket that is large enough to fit all the little gifts in it. I love organizing and decorating my house with metal baskets and these baskets will look great even after the holiday.
Step 2- something cozy
When I think of love, I feel cozy, which is why this large family sized sherpa blanket is so well loved! Add something cozy like cute socks, a heart-shaped pillow, or a soft blanket. There’s nothing better than snuggling the whole family under a warm blanket!

Step 3- something to read
I love holiday themed books, and since we’re talking love, I recommend the There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed A Rose is always a fun read, or if you’re in the mood for something sweet, I’ll Love You Till The Cows Come Home.
If you enjoy fun books that include an activity, Tic Tac Toe Wooden Game for Kids | Modern XOXO Tic Tac Toe Game | Natural Wood Naught and Crosses | Indoor Outdoor Travel Game | Tic Tac Toe Decor Home Decorations” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>wooden tic tac toe game! Turns out, Cortland is a Tic Tac Toe shark! It’s super cute and filled our home with little giggles!
The kids looked forward to making waffles the next morning with me using their mini waffle maker. It excited them knowing we will be bonding and cooking together- now that’s love.
Step 5- Something sweet
I saved the best for last! Load up on all the fun Valentine’s Day candies and fill up your basket! I like to pick at least two varieties- gummies and chocolate! You can get creative and load your basket with craft sodas, snacks, or any munchies you like!
You can opt for healthier snacks like Boom Chicka Pop popcorn, ” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Surf Sweets organic gummy bears, or ” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Chocolove non GMO, Rainforest Alliance Certified chocolate bars.

Set the mood
I have a secret. I love Alexa. She’s my little kitchen friend and she loves to blast Nirvana, rap music, and some good ol’ Frank Sinatra. She also rocks at keeping times while I’m frivolously cooking!
